Jewellery design and gemology were the starting point: working by hand, at millimetre scale, with precious and traditional materials. That same sensibility carries forward into cloisonné, gold-mending (jin xi), and the bio-material masks of Future Face-Changing Theatre — one continuous material lineage, not a set of separate skills.
